A total of 36 trainee teachers completed the course conducted by Mr Shanwen Zhao, a level 2 certified presenter from Nanjing, China. The course covered indoor and beach volleyball skills, tactics, rules, physical conditioning and included both theory and practical components.

On June 12, the course was officially closed by the Deputy Principal of VITE Mr Eric Nadwevi who thanked the VVF, FIVB and Mr Zhao in his closing remarks, “Thank you very much to the Vanuatu Volleyball Federation and the FIVB for organising this course and choosing to run it at VITE. I want to say a very big thank you to Mr Zhao for a truly memorable and enjoyable week. The 36 successful participants will now be well placed to run volleyball programs in the schools in which they will work and this will further strengthen the sport across Vanuatu”.
