Chennai, India, October 20, 2016 – The FIVB Level-I Coaches Course came to a successful conclusion on October 17 at Dr SA FIVB RDC Auditorium, with 34 coaches from India and Bangladesh including four women’s candidates receiving certificates at the closing ceremony.
The Course Director Mr. Shailen Dev Ramdoo, as Special Project Instructor from Kalajoki, Finland along with Course Instructor Mr. G.E.Sridharan, FIVB Instructor 1/Coach, Member AVC Coaches Committee, Arjuna & Dronacharya Awardee and National Coach from India, conducted the theory and practical sessions successfully.
The course started on October 13 at Dr. Sivanthi Adityan FIVB Regional Development Centre for Volleyball in Chennai, with the theory class being conducted at Dr. SA FIVB RDC Auditorium and the practical session at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.
The attestations were presented during the valedictory function on October 17 by the Course Director and other Delegates. Dr. K. Murugan, CEO, VFI and Mr. J. Nadarajan, joint secretary, VFI and former international volleyball player were present during the valedictory function.
Ahead of the closing ceremony, Mr. Avnish Kumar Yadav was named the Best Male student, while the Best Female student award went to Ms. P. Arunachalam.
