Narathiwat, Thailand, November 15, 2016 – Over 2,000 children from the three southern Thai border provinces consisting Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat, most of them Muslims, took part in a volleyball clinic held by the Thailand Volleyball Association at the Rueso Chanupatham School in Narathiwat on Tuesday.

Thailand national men’s and women’s players including superstar spiker Pleumjit Thinkaow, Wilavan Apinyapong, Kittikun Sri-utthawong and Jirayu Raksakaew basically taught the children how to play volleyball. The youngsters also obtained good chances to show their individual potentials by learning technical and tactical skills from the highly-experienced national players. Aside from tense training skill, fun games including passing, serving and hitting balls to help gain benefit from all forms of volleyball have also been instructed for the children taking part in the one-day activity, with the TVA setting sights on them to step up to a higher level in a near future.

The volleyball clinic in Rueso, Narathiwat was one of the TVA’s strategic targets to reach children from south Thailand and the FIVB’s so-called Volleyball Your Way to make volleyball the number one family entertainment activity worldwide.
