Bangkok, Thailand, December 18, 2016 – The AVC Sports Management Seminar came to a successful conclusion at Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel in Bangkok on Sunday.
The three-day seminar, which was held from Friday to Sunday, was aimed at offering an overview of the key tasks NFs might need to learn before they will plan, communicate and operate when they decide to organise competitions.
FIVB and AVC Honorary Life President Mr Wei Jizhong, himself Advisor to the FIVB Board of Administration, and Mr Ramon Suzara, Chairman of AVC Development & Marketing Committee and Member of FIVB Development Commission, were the seminar instructors.
Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, AVC Secretary-General and Member of FIVB Board of Administration, was also invited as guest speaker on the Organisation of AVC Competitions (indoor and beach volleyballs) and procedure for AVC organisers and preparation before each Championship.
After the first two days of lectures, all attendants from 16 NFs including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Maldives, Myanmar and New Zealand were on Sunday split into groups for Group Workshop, Group Presentation and Discussion to exchange their points of view for constructive outcomes in the AVC Development & Marketing Committee.
All attendants had been informed about the changes of the FIVB structures and how to catch up with all updates of AVC and FIVB. They had learned how to communicate with both bodies by means of online application. It is expected that from now on, they will thoroughly understand their NFs structures and will offer collaboration with AVC and FIVB.
After three days of the seminar, all attendants received certificates on Sunday, followed by the closing ceremony.
