Colombo, Sri Lanka, September 4, 2017 – The AVC Coaches Course for Volleyball Teachers concluded successfully on August 24 at the Sports Ministry Hall.

A total of 35 candidates from Army, Police as well as clubs, schools and coaches attended the seminar, which started on August 21. Mr Shihab Al Din Ahmed, the FIVB International Coach Instructor from Oman, conducted the four-day course, which split into theoretical and practical sessions. Modern teaching methodology and training ways in volleyball have been instructed during the seminar.

Among the participants were 6 women and 7 former Sri Lanka national team players. Minister of Power and Renewable Energy Mr Ranijith Siyambalapitiya presided over the opening ceremony at the Sports Ministry Hall on August 21, while Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation General-Secretary Mr A.S. Nalaka and Course Coordinator Mr Aruna Shantha were the guests of honour.

The meeting came to a fruitful conclusion on August 24.
