Sun Hongyun unleashed successive two aces to help China jump to a 13-10 lead. Kazakhstan requested a timeout while trailing 11-15 to improve their game plan. However, China had an excellent combination between setter Zhang Zixuan and middle blocker Chen Xiaohui, with the latter penetrating the rivals\u2019 defence into shreds with her exceptional attacks. Kazakhstan reinforced their blocking and attacking to narrow the margin to 8-10. However, the Chinese adjusted themselves quickly for another scoring opportunity, extending to 15-9. Kazakhstan fought hard but still became more prone to unforced mistakes.
