{"id":134992,"date":"2024-10-10T15:22:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-10T15:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/?p=134992"},"modified":"2024-10-20T07:04:45","modified_gmt":"2024-10-20T07:04:45","slug":"fivb-athletes-commission-welcomes-new-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/fivb-athletes-commission-welcomes-new-members\/","title":{"rendered":"FIVB ATHLETES\u2019 COMMISSION WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS!"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p><b>The elected athletes will serve on the Commission for the 2024-2028 term<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The highly anticipated 2024 FIVB Athletes\u2019 Commission elections for five of the positions took place from 16-30 September, with voters casting their ballots through a secure LUMI voting platform.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 15 athletes \u2013 seven men and eight women \u2013 stood for the prestigious positions to represent the interests of their fellow volleyball and beach volleyball players.<\/p>\n<p>The five athletes elected to the Commission are:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Jordan Quinn Larson (USA) \u2013 received the highest number of votes in the Volleyball Women category<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Simone Anzani (ITA) \u2013 received the highest number of votes in the Volleyball Men category<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sandra Ittlinger (GER) \u2013 received the highest number of votes in the Beach Volleyball Women category<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Joshua Binstock (CAN) \u2013 received the highest number of votes in the Beach Volleyball Men category<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Louise Bawden (AUS) \u2013 received the highest number of votes from the remaining candidates<\/p>\n<p>The newly elected members will serve on the Commission from 2024-2028, helping to shape policies that impact athletes and provide a voice within the FIVB\u2019s decision-making processes.<\/p>\n<p>The term of the new Athletes\u2019 Commission will start after the appointment of the remaining candidates by the FIVB Board of Administration during its first meeting following the FIVB World Congress. The final composition of the 10-member Commission will be shared accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>Launched during the Olympic Games Rio 2016, the FIVB Athletes\u2019 Commission is made up of ten members, with five elected by their peers and five appointed by the FIVB Board of Administration.
