{"id":135390,"date":"2024-11-01T15:40:39","date_gmt":"2024-11-01T15:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/?p=135390"},"modified":"2024-11-01T15:40:39","modified_gmt":"2024-11-01T15:40:39","slug":"volleyball-australia-board-members-reelected-at-agm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/volleyball-australia-board-members-reelected-at-agm\/","title":{"rendered":"VOLLEYBALL AUSTRALIA BOARD MEMBERS REELECTED AT AGM"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p><b>Information courtesy of <\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/volleyball.org.au\"><b>volleyball.org.au<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to Michael Johnson joining the Volleyball Australia Board and Craig Carracher\u2019s reelection as President at the 2024 Annual General Meeting in Hobart over the weekend, two directors were also reelected \u2013 Anita Palm and Carolyn Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>Anita\u2019s reelection comes more than a decade after first joining the VA Board and she continues to bring valued experience from a career built on delivering major sporting events.<\/p>\n<p>She represented Australia 28 times in indoor volleyball before successfully transitioning to the sand, becoming one of Australia\u2019s first-ever beach volleyball Olympians at Atlanta 1996 where she and Liane Fenwick finished seventh.<\/p>\n<p>A six-time national champion, Anita was inducted into the Volleyball Australia Hall of Fame in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Following her retirement, Anita worked as a manager of Sports Services at the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games before joining the International Olympic Committee as a consultant.
