Gra\u00e7a F\u00b0 on Friday officially opened the 39th World FIVB Congress, where he warmly welcomed delegates to Porto, Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress brings together representatives from across the global Volleyball Family, as delegates from nearly 200 of the FIVB\u2019s National Federations have gathered to shape the future of the sport.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening speech, which the President delivered after receiving a standing ovation from the Congress, Dr Gra\u00e7a stated:\u201cThe Congress is very special to me. He expressed his gratitude to the delegates for their support throughout his time at the helm of the FIVB and emphasised how their unity has transformed the sport. \u201cTogether, with all of you\u2014my dear National Federations and members of the volleyball family\u2014we have created a new reality for our sport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cLet\u2019s remember the past! Let\u2019s celebrate the present!
