This new Commission was established to reflect the evolving needs of the Global Volleyball Movement, ensuring that the sport\u2019s rich history and traditions continue to shape an exciting future for the sport.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All FIVB Commission meetings, including this gathering, have been conducted online this month. This format aligns with the FIVB\u2019s commitment to reducing its environmental impact while providing greater flexibility for participants. The environmental benefits of this are substantial: the total carbon footprint of online versus on-site FIVB Commission meetings is 69 tons of CO2 equivalent lower, this largely due to the lack of air travel. Key topics also included the exploration of initiatives to celebrate and promote volleyball globally, the development of the International Volleyball Hall of Fame to enhance the recognition of volleyball\u2019s athletes and their contributions, the Players\u2019 Post Career Programme and the FIVB Volleyball Foundation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Commission President Joop Alberda reflected on the significance of the newly formed body, stating:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a real honour to lead this new Commission, where there is a real opportunity to truly make an impact.
