{"id":137879,"date":"2025-04-01T19:48:50","date_gmt":"2025-04-01T19:48:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/?p=137879"},"modified":"2025-04-01T19:48:50","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T19:48:50","slug":"avc-delegation-strengthens-ties-with-fivb-and-volleyball-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/avc-delegation-strengthens-ties-with-fivb-and-volleyball-world\/","title":{"rendered":"AVC DELEGATION STRENGTHENS TIES WITH FIVB AND VOLLEYBALL WORLD"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p><b>The Continental Confederation had a week of collaboration, learning and strategic planning with the International Federation and its commercial arm<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) delegation, led by Secretary General Hugh Graham \u2013 who also serves as the Executive Vice-President of the FIVB and President of the Oceania Zonal Volleyball Association (OZVA) \u2013 embarked on a week-long visit to Lausanne, Switzerland, to meet with the leadership and key departments of both the FIVB and Volleyball World.<\/p>\n<p>The visit focused on strengthening collaboration, enhancing operational knowledge and reinforcing a shared vision for the global growth of volleyball.<\/p>\n<p>A key highlight was a meeting with FIVB President Fabio Azevedo, where discussions centered on the continued development of volleyball around the world through the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032, and the pivotal role of Continental Confederations in driving progress. The delegation also attended an insightful presentation by the FIVB General Sports Director Steve Tutton, who provided a detailed outline of the strategic vision, which emphasises four core pillars: Professionalism, Integration, Empowerment and Mass Participation.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the week, AVC representatives engaged in detailed discussions with various FIVB departments, collaborating on a broad range of topics. These included Volleyball Empowerment and Development programmes, communications and social media management, organisation of corporate events, legal framework and good governance, and sustainability, which all explored initiatives aimed at ensuring the long-term growth of volleyball. Additionally, sessions with Administration, HR &amp; Finance as well as the Legal department addressed key regulatory frameworks and governance. Technical discussions were also held with the Heads of both Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, who outlined the exciting plans for the future of each discipline under the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The delegation also spent significant time with Volleyball World, the commercial arm of the FIVB, dedicated to growing the sport\u2019s visibility and business portfolio.
