So does Suriname, whose teams picked up women\u2019s gold and men\u2019s bronze at the CAZOVA U17 Volleyball Championships.<\/p>\n<p><b>SEA V League \u2013 Women<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Thailand Volleyball Association has been granted USD 84,000 in FIVB Volleyball Empowerment coach support for their women\u2019s national volleyball team, working under the supervision of coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, in addition to USD 138,000 worth of volleyball equipment. Vietnam\u2019s women\u2019s volleyball national team has so far been allocated a total of USD 35,266 in coach support from FIVB Volleyball Empowerment and is currently benefitting from the expertise of Australian coach Karl Lim. In addition, the Vietnamese federation has been funded with USD 18,000 for national team coaches development knowledge transfer programs. The Philippine National Volleyball Federation has so far been assisted by FIVB Volleyball Empowerment with total of USD 687,500 in coach support combined, a significant portion of which has been tagged to their women\u2019s national volleyball team, currently guided by Brazilian coach Jorge Edson De Brito and his staff. Furthermore, the national federation of the Philippines has received USD 75,000 in volleyball equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The first of two 2025 SEA V League single round-robin tournaments was held last week in Nakhon Ratchasima. Hosts Thailand topped the podium undefeated. In their first two matches, they achieved a 3-1 (17-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-20) win over the Philippines and a 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 27-25, 25-12) win over Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Vietnam also produced two victories on the first two competition days \u2013 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-22) over Indonesia and 3-1 (25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 25-9) over the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>So, when the two unbeaten teams met on Sunday, it was a direct duel for gold. They put together a five-set battle that went 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11) Thailand\u2019s way and left Vietnam with silver.<\/p>\n<p>The match between the Philippines and Indonesia had to decide the bronze medals. The Philippines made the podium with a 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 16-25, 25-13) win.<\/p>\n<p>Thailand\u2019s 27-year-old opposite Pimpichaya Kokram <i>(pictured in the main photo; source: asianvolleyball.net)<\/i> earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. The Dream Team was composed of setter Pornpun Guedpard (Thailand), opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen (Vietnam), outside hitters Angel Anne Canino (Philippines) and Ajcharaporn Kongyot (Thailand), middle blockers Thatdao Nuekjang (Thailand) and Tran Thi Bich Thuy (Vietnam), and libero Nguyen Khanh Dang (Vietnam).<\/p>\n<p>The second women\u2019s 2025 SEA V League tournament will be held this week in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.app.fivb.com\/tournaments\/1601\/matches\"><b>Women\u2019s SEA V League: all results and standings<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AsianVolleyball\/status\/1952099956380287284\">https:\/\/x.com\/AsianVolleyball\/status\/1952099956380287284<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>CAZOVA U17 Volleyball Championships<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Suvobo, the Surinamese volleyball federation, has so far been allocated USD 157,500 in FIVB Volleyball Empowerment coach support for their national volleyball teams. Their women\u2019s teams are benefitting from the expertise of coaches Miquel Misidjang and Leonel Munder, while the men\u2019s selections have been working under the guidance of coach Carlos Orta Fellove.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural CAZOVA U17 Volleyball Championships for girls and for boys were held in Spanish Town, Jamaica.<\/p>\n<p>In the four-team women\u2019s tournament, Suriname won all four of their matches and topped the podium with gold. After beating all three of their opponents in the round-robin stage, they progressed to the final, where they produced a hard-fought 3-2 (29-27, 25-22, 18-25, 14-25, 15-9) victory over Barbados. In the bronze medal game, Trinidad &amp; Tobago mastered a 3-0 (25-9, 25-7, 25-23) shutout of Jamaica.<\/p>\n<p>Suriname\u2019s 14-year-old prodigy middle blocker Zoe Roethof was named MVP.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.app.fivb.com\/tournaments\/1575\/matches\"><b>CAZOVA U17 Women\u2019s Volleyball Championship: all results, standings, statistics<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DM6UjuNyII5\/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DM6UjuNyII5\/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the boys\u2019 tournament, Barbados swept all their four matches in straight sets to snatch the historic zonal title. In the final, they mastered a 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-14) shutout of Trinidad &amp; Tobago.<\/p>\n<p>Suriname finished third in the round-robin stage and advanced to the third-place game, in which they delivered a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-19) victory over hosts Jamaica to claim bronze.<\/p>\n<p>Barbados\u2019s 14-year-old setter Daniel Reece was honored as tournament MVP.<\/p>\n<p><a
