Shan\u2019s experience links the two generations.<\/p>\n<p>She says defending the title has a positive effect. \u201cThe World Championship win before and defending the title now, is a motivation for me and the team,\u201d she said. \u201cIt gives us more motivation that helps our team go further.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>China have opened this year\u2019s tournament in strong form, winning its first five matches to top its pool. She enjoys photography and traveling around China, capturing new places through her lens.<\/p>\n<p>Her volleyball inspirations include Chinese middle blocker Yan Ni, a gold medalist at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and Turkish middle blocker Zehra Gunes, whose dynamic presence she admires.<\/p>\n<p>From a teenage reserve learning from senior teammates to a starter helping shape China\u2019s run, Shan is determined to make her mark in 2025. \u201cMy goal is to win my own championship,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p><a
