China made a clean sweep in Pool F with 9 points, while Japan finished second with 6 points from two wins against one loss. The Japanese initially led 8-6, thanks to Mayu Ishikawa\u2019s defensive tactics and Miwako Osaka\u2019s powerful attacks. They stretched it to 16-9 when Nanami Seki scored back-to-back points with her exceptional attacks as Japan took the first set 25-14.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46502\" src=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/china4-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"653\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/china4-2.jpg 960w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/china4-2-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/china4-2-768x522.jpg 768w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/china4-2-600x408.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The second set was dominated by China when Zhang Yichan unleashed a barrage of fierce attacks which always went unanswered. Liu Yanhan, who won the second Best Outside Spiker at this year\u2019s Volleyball Nations League Finals, led the China\u2019s attacks and Fang Duan backed up her team-mate. Japan didn\u2019t let the win slip through their fingers. However, the Chinese regained their composure and revived their fortunes to take the narrow lead with a one-point clear at 9-8. We weren\u2019t sure whether we\u2019d win or not, especially with our setter getting injured during the fourth set. Despite all the obstacles, we stayed focused and did not give up so I think that\u2019s why we were able to win this match.
