{"id":53022,"date":"2020-07-03T18:43:02","date_gmt":"2020-07-03T18:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/?p=53022"},"modified":"2020-07-03T18:43:02","modified_gmt":"2020-07-03T18:43:02","slug":"davarzani-iran-coach-to-be-appointed-until-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/davarzani-iran-coach-to-be-appointed-until-september\/","title":{"rendered":"DAVARZANI: IRAN COACH TO BE APPOINTED UNTIL SEPTEMBER"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p>Bangkok, Thailand, July 3, 2020 &#8211; Dr Mohammadreza Davarzani, president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) is upbeat that the head coach of the Iran national volleyball team can be named prior to the start of the domestic Super League in September.<\/p>\n<p>In his recent interview with Radio Iran, Davarzani said that the team has been without a coach since parting company with Montenegrin Igor Kolakovic in late March following cancellation of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games due to the massive global outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid19) outbreak.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53024\" src=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/tas1574253407.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/tas1574253407.jpg 630w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/tas1574253407-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/tas1574253407-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to appoint the new head coach before the start of the competition since he has to monitor the games,\u201d Davarzani was quoted by Radio Iran as saying.<\/p>\n<p>IRIVF had already announced that it would weigh up finding the best possible coach \u2013 foreigner or Iranian &#8211; for the 2020 Olympics, postponed until 2021, since the federation is expected that the team will return from Tokyo with an Olympic medal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe combination of an Iranian coach and a foreigner might be the best choice.
