{"id":56470,"date":"2020-12-29T13:15:19","date_gmt":"2020-12-29T13:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/?p=56470"},"modified":"2020-12-29T13:27:13","modified_gmt":"2020-12-29T13:27:13","slug":"volleyball-calendar-2021-2024-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/volleyball-calendar-2021-2024-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"VOLLEYBALL CALENDAR 2021-2024 REVEALED"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p><strong>Read on to find an outline of the official volleyball events in the next Olympic cycle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The FIVB has on Tuesday revealed the volleyball calendar 2021-2024 which outlines the FIVB&#8217;s volleyball events for the next Olympic cycle leading up to the Olympic Games Paris 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The calendar, based on the principles set out by the FIVB Board of Administration (BoA) in December 2019, outlines the official volleyball events in 2021-2024. The official events, as defined by the BoA, are the Olympic Games Paris 2024, the 2022 World Championships, the annual Volleyball Nations League, the Continental Championships of 2021 and 2023, and their direct qualifying events. The calendar also includes the annual club season including national, continental and international competition.<\/p>\n<p>The key updates to the 2021-2024 competition calendar include:<\/p>\n<p>-The National League Season is adapted to the National Team competition schedule per gender; therefore, the start date per gender varies on a yearly basis<\/p>\n<p>-Continental Club Championships \/ Finals are scheduled yearly on the last week of each National League Season<\/p>\n<p>-The Volleyball Nations League is scheduled yearly a week after the Continental Club Championships \/ Finals, and is followed by the FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup with women\u2019s and men\u2019s events played in the same week<\/p>\n<p>-Continental Volleyball Championships in 2021 and 2023 shall run the women\u2019s event first, followed by the men\u2019s event, over a one-month period in August and September<\/p>\n<p>-The FIVB Volleyball Club World Championships are set to take place annually during a two-week period in December<\/p>\n<p>-The FIVB Volleyball World Championships are scheduled in 2022 across August, September and October, starting with the men\u2019s and followed by the women\u2019s event<\/p>\n<p>-Olympic Qualification Tournaments (OQTs) shall be played across a 10-day period per the events of each gender, starting with the women\u2019s event in the second half of September in 2023 and followed by the men\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>The new 2021-2024 competition calendar can be downloaded on<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fivb.com\"> www.fivb.com<\/a> as shown below (for clearer information, please download the Volleyball Calendar 2021-2024 on the mentioned website).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56473\" src=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2-20.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"688\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2-20.jpg 688w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2-20-215x300.jpg 215w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2-20-600x837.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The FIVB reserves the right to adjust the official calendar to prioritise the health and wellbeing of athletes and the global Volleyball Family, taking into account the exceptional circumstances of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
