champions Nakhon Ratchasima surging ahead Diamond Food to top the women\u2019s standing in the second week of the second stage of the Thailand\u2019s top-flight professional volleyball The Mall\u2019s VC proved too strong for Proflex VC to overwhelm the unfancied rivals in a totally lop-sided battle 25-19, 25-11, 25-12 on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Later on the same day, the star-studded Diamond Food, fielding a formidable lineup including highly-experienced setter Nootsara Tomkom, ace spiker Onuma Sittirak, veteran middle-blocker Malika Kanthong and fast attacker Jarasporn Bundasak, had a little problem in powering past the spirited 3BB Nakornnont, spearheaded by Pimpichaya Kokrum and Sineenart Phocharoen, in comeback 3-1 (27-29, 25-15, 25-19, 25-20) win.<\/p>\n<p><img successfully overtook the latter to lead the six-team pack in the second leg.<\/p>\n<p>First-leg winners Supreme had 3 points from one win against one loss to come in third place, with 3BB Nakornnont in fourth position with 3 points from one win against two losses. Khonkaen and Proflex had yet won a match in the second leg to be ranked 5th and 6th places respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Going down three matches in a row, Khonkaen, led by former Thailand national players Kannikar Thipachote and Kaewkallaya Kamulthala, now have their backs against the wall. As only top four teams will make the cut for the final round, Khonkaen, which finished second in the previous season, have to give it all-out in the next match. In the mid-week encounter on March 10, they lost in straight sets to Phitsanulok VC.
