The special edition jerseys will be worn during the finals to highlight how the sport of volleyball, the players and the fans all strive to challenge the inequality which frequently exists between genders in the world of sport.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-61029\" src=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-580x326.jpg 580w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-860x484.jpg 860w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-1160x653.jpg 1160w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-500x281.jpg 500w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11-800x450.jpg 800w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/b-11.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three pairs of players have been confirmed as the first Equal Jersey ambassadors, including: Lauren Carlini (USA) and Facundo Conte (ARG) sharing the No. 7 Equal Jersey, Natalia Goncharova (RUS) and Wallace de Souza (BRA) sharing No. 8, and Eda Erdem (TUR) and Nimir Abdel-Aziz (NED) sharing No. 14.<\/p>\n<p>While the rules in sports are often the same for all players, there remains a huge disparity between genders in sport which needs to be challenged. Volleyball aims to promote a level playing field across the sport with women\u2019s and men\u2019s major competitions receiving equal prize money and generating equal viewing figures. However, Volleyball World recognises there is always room to improve.
