{"id":74031,"date":"2022-02-01T19:15:50","date_gmt":"2022-02-01T19:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/?p=74031"},"modified":"2022-02-01T19:15:50","modified_gmt":"2022-02-01T19:15:50","slug":"fivb-medical-commission-discusses-number-of-important-topics-at-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/fivb-medical-commission-discusses-number-of-important-topics-at-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"FIVB MEDICAL COMMISSION DISCUSSES NUMBER OF IMPORTANT TOPICS AT MEETING"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p class=\"p2\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Tuesday\u2019s Commission meeting was held in a hybrid format<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The FIVB Medical Commission held its meeting on Tuesday in a hybrid format to discuss a number of key topics including COVID-19 protocols at upcoming events, safeguarding and anti-doping.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Both the Commission President Annie Peytavin and Secretary Bruno Borges da Fonseca joined the meeting in-person at the FIVB Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, with the remaining members joining via videoconference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">During the meeting, FIVB President Dr Ary S. Gra\u00e7a F\u00b0 praised the Commission for its key role in protecting the health and well-being of the global Volleyball Family. He also noted the important work of Medical Delegates in ensuring the implementation of COVID-19 protocols at FIVB events last year which included the Volleyball Nations League, Beach Volleyball World Tour and various Age Group World Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-74032\" src=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-300x170.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-300x170.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-1024x581.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-768x436.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-580x329.jpeg 580w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-860x488.jpeg 860w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-1160x659.jpeg 1160w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-500x284.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-800x454.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a-1280x727.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/asianvolleyball.net\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/a.jpeg 1400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Commission Members were also provided with updates on the FIVB and Volleyball World, in addition to a report on the FIVB 2021 Anti-Doping Programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">In his opening address, the FIVB President said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe must always continue to improve and follow the latest best practices to ensure we uphold the integrity of volleyball and beach volleyball.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI am counting on each of you to help create safe environments for our athletes to compete in, while also ensuring a level playing field.
