Taipei, Chinese Taipei, July 25, 2014 – With the closing of the 17th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship Thursday here in Taipei, every individual award have found their owners. It is remarkable that there is a pair of twin sisters among these award winners. They are the Best Setter Lee Dayeong and the Best Outside Spiker Lee Jaeyeong both from Korea.

Korea book the last ticket of Asia

to the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship 2014

Taipei, Chinese Taipei, July 24, 2014 – Korea beat Thailand in a two-hour thrilling five-setter (25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-7) here today to finish the 3rd place of the 17th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship, and thus joined China and Japan to represent Asia for the next year’s FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship.

Taipei, Chinese Taipei, July 22, 2014 – The 17th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship resumed here today with the first quarterfinal match played between Japan and Kazakhstan at the Taipei University Gymnasium after one-day break. In 59 minutes, the unbeaten Japan swept the central Asia team in 25-5, 25-17, 25-18 and booked the first ticket to the semifinals.

Top 8 confirmed for the 17th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship

Taipei, Chinese Taipei, July 18, 2014 – The 17th Asian Women U19 Volleyball Championship completed the last round of Pool round-robin preliminaries Friday and finally produced the top 8 teams, who are Chinese Taipei and Sri Lanka from Pool A, China and Kazakhstan from Poo B, Japan and India from Pool C, and Thailand and Korea from Pool D.
