Bangkok, Thailand, March 11, 2015 – The Myanmar Volleyball Federation will hold the AVC Refereeing Course from May 6 to 10 in conjunction with the 1st Asian Men’s U23 Volleyball Championship during May 12 and 20 in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
The objective of this Refereeing Course is to update all knowledge and refereeing techniques for all Asian referees, to support the National Federations which have a small number of International Referees and to prepare all referees who would like to attend the International Referee Candidate Course in the near future.By taking part in the course, the Candidate Referee can participate in the Asian Championship as the accompany referee and the team need not pay the fines up to US$2,000.
For those who are interested to take part in the course, AVC will be responsible for accommodation subsidies which include a twin room with full board for two participants from each National Federation, while the two instructors’ international transportation and per diem will be also at the AVC’s expense.
Myanmar has initially planned to hold the AVC Refereeing Course in Nay Pyi Taw, in and out of which only two foreign airlines operate scheduled flights. However, to make the participants more convenient on their travelling, Myanmar has been asked to shift the host city from Nay Pyi Taw to Rangoon.
According to the AVC Referees Committee Chairman Mr Songsak Chareonpong, deadline for the submission of the course participants (two from each National Federation) of Eastern and South Eastern Zones is due before April 20.
