Teharan, Iran, July 21, 2015 – Fourteen Iranian players have been asked to join the Preparation Camp for the Wagner Cup. The top-notch tournament was contested among the world’s best three teams. In 2011, Poland hosted the event with the legendary Velasco faced Poland, Russia, and Argentina in the Wagner Cup.
This year, the prestigious competition will be held from August 22 to 24, with Iran challenging France, fresh from capturing the 2015 World League, Japan, and the world champions Poland.
Fourteen players have already been invited to Wagner Preparation Camp consisting of Mir Saeid Marouf, Sayyed Mohammad Mousavi, Mahdi Mahdavi, Adel Gholami, Saman Faezi, Mohammad Hassan Senobar, Farhad Ghaemi, Mojtaba Mirzajanpour, Milad Ebadipour, Shahram Mahmudi, Amir Ghafour, Abdolreza Alizadeh. Mahdi Marandi, and Mohammad-Javad Manavinejad.
The Iranian players will undergo an encampment from July 21 and will depart to Poland on August 20.
