Chennai, India, October 7, 2015 – The 13-day FIVB Level-II Coaches Course kicked off on Tuesday at the Dr Sivanthi Adityan FIVB Regional Development Centre for Volleyball – Chennai, India with Mr S. Venkatachalapathy, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Centre Crime Branch, Chennai presiding over the inauguration.
A total of 24 coaches comprising 21 Indians and one each from Maldives, Nepal and the UAE are participating in this course, which will be conducted in theoretical and practical parts. Mr Miloslav Ejem, FIVB Level III Instructor, will be the Course Director of this development course, with Mr G.E. Sridharan, Arjuna & Dronacharya Awardee and National Coach of India, being the Course Instructor.
Dr. K. Murugan, Chief Executive Officer, VFI on Tuesday welcomed the Chief Guest, Course Director, Course Instructor and all participants during the opening ceremony. In his welcome address, Dr K. Murugan gave valuable advice and references for the upcoming coaches for their bright future after their participation in the course.
Mr. Ejem also expressed his satisfaction over his re-visit to Chennai to conduct the course, saying that he is happy to be the Course Director in middle of the candidates in this higher level Coaches Course.
The valedictory function with the presentation of attestation will be on October 18, 2015.
