Bangkok, Thailand, October 21, 2015 – The FIVB Technical Seminar Teachers Course is being held from October 20 to 24 at the FIVB Development Center Bangkok, Thailand, with a total of 20 candidates from three countries participating.
Air Marshal Chartchai Rodboonpha, technical chairman of Thailand Volleyball Association, presided over the opening ceremony of the five-day course, which will be conducted by FIVB Instructor Mr Dan Llie Girleanu from Romania. The course will be carried out in theoretical and practical sessions at the FIVB Development Center at Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok, while the practical part for beach volleyball will take place on October 24 at the beach volleyball competition site inside the varsity.
A total of 20 candidates consisting of 16 Thai men, two Vietnamese women and two Sri Lankan men took part in the course, which aims at providing informative instructions and technical guidance to the candidates in order that they can bring knowledge of the game obtained while attending the course for their future use.
“I would like to welcome all the candidates to the development course which will help you improve your understanding on technical information of volleyball. This is a good opportunity for all of you to attend the course, which is part of the FIVB’s development strategy for the future. I’m convinced that all candidates will be exposed to the most up to date thinking and training methodologies,” said Mr Dan Llie Girleanu to the course attendants during the opening ceremony.
