Bangkok, Thailand, November 21, 2015 – The FIVB Technical Seminar on Defense/Serve/Libero was concluded at the FIVB Development Centre in Bangkok, Thailand on November 20, with 17 candidates from six countries participating in the five-day course.
Mr Chai Nimakorn, director of the FIVB Development Centre in Bangkok, presided over the opening ceremony on November 16, while Air Marshal Chartchai Rodboonpha, technical chairman of Thailand Volleyball Association, was guest of honour.
The course was conducted theoretically and practically by FIVB Instructor Mr Zhao Shanwen from China. A total of 17 candidates who took part in the development course including two women came from six countries comprising six each from Sri Lanka and Thailand, two from the Philippines and one apiece from Norway, Oman and Japan.
TVA’s President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang presided over the closing ceremony on November 20, with TVA’s Secretary-General Jaksuwan Tocharoen being guest of honour. Mr Somporn presented the course participants with achievement certificates before delivering a closing speech.
“I would like to congratulate you all here on your great success. By attending this course, I strongly believe that you will bring knowledge obtained from the highly-experienced FIVB Instructor Mr Zhao Shanwen for future use in your career. I wish you a pleasant trip back home. We are looking forward to welcoming you all again to Thailand in the near future,” Mr Somporn concluded.
