Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 21, 2015 – The National Referee Refresher Course is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a total of 47 national referees taking part.

The course, which was conducted theoretically and practically by Course Instructor and AVC Referee Committee Chairman Mr Songsak Chareonpong, took place on November 19, with Dr. Fahad Bin Nasser Al-Huraishi, President of the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, presiding over the opening ceremony.

The four-day course, which will be concluded on Sunday, November 22, is aimed at updating all knowledge on changes of rules of the game aside from unifying the standard of refereeing techniques and all the AVC and FIVB protocols, preparing new generations for future International Referee Candidates Course (IRCC) and providing both quality and quantity of referees in the country.

With all the Saudi Arabian referees who are attending the course showing their enthusiasm, Mr Songsak has his sights firmly set on the participants to accomplish the course in positive manner.

“This course offers an opportunity to the Saudi Arabian referees taking part to obtain valuable refereeing knowledge and exchange their points of view together which will all lead them to a satisfying success in their career in the near future,” Mr Songsak commented on the course.
