Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, November 3, 2015 –  A group of 70 members from Myanmar Volleyball Federation led by its Vice President Mr Thein Win departed from Yangon on October 14 to Pyinmana in Nay Pyi Taw to conduct volleyball activities for youths in an effort of promoting the sport through the Youth Development Project and scouting new players for Myanmar’s national team.

Before their departure,  the MVF sent a survey team in advance on October 12 to communicate with the authorities of that region and to prepare many small volleyball courts for the participating youths. 

Upon their arrival, the group started communicating with local people and youths, inviting them to join the volleyball festival, which was held on October 15 in a high school with a very large compound. More than 500 people enjoyed the festival, with around 2,000 students and local youths participating in the campaign.

The high-ranked officers from the Ministry of Education, some officials from the Myanmar Sports Ministry, the Headmistress of the High School and teachers also joined the festival. The MVF’s members presented volleyballs and nets to the participating teams.The one-day festival, the second edition of Youth Development Project this year, ended in a successful fashion.
