Tehran, Iran, July 19, 2016: The International Coaching Course Level 1 is being held in Tehran from July 18 to 22, with a total of 35 coaches participating.
Instructors Mr Shahab Al Din Ahmed Al Riyami from Oman and Ms Raziyeh Seifzadeh from Iran have been conducting the five-day seminar, theoretically and practically from 9am to 5pm. The theoretical part is conducted at the site of the Training Committee of Iran Volleyball Federation, while the practical part takes place at the National Camp of Women in Azadi Sport Complex. However, ahead of the course, all the participants had received E-learning training.
During the opening ceremony on July 18, Iran Volleyball Federation’s Secretary-General Mr Afshardoust delivered his speech by saying: “In addition to side efforts like participating in the tournaments, our coaches, both male and female, should obtain updated information about the latest technics and tactics in volleyball in order to succeed in their job. Obtaining only the degree in coaching cannot make an ideal coach. Special attention and efforts are necessarily required to achieve that target.”
He also emphasized that best coaches of the world are not limited to these seminars. “Women and Men’s volleyball are totally different, while female coaches have to be technically active in this field as such international courses are good opportunities for them to increase their knowledge of coaching.”
