Lausanne, Switzerland, May 15, 2017 – The top players from Thailand and Korea will participate in a Thailand-Korea All-Star Match at the Huamark Stadium in Bangkok on June 3.
The Korean women’s volleyball All-Star team, led by Lee Jung-chul of V-League champions IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, will feature 14 players including superstar Kim Yeon-kyung. The Thai All-Star team is expected to include many of Thailand’s top players, including Nootsara Tomkom and Onuma Sittirak.
The match is aimed at promoting volleyball in Asia and expanding markets for the domestic leagues. It will be broadcast live in both countries, through KBSN SPORTS in Korea and SMM TV in Thailand.
“This match is an opportunity to set up a bridgehead for the V-league’s expansion overseas,” Korean Volleyball Federation President Ku Jae Joon said.
