Surabaya, Indonesia, July 25, 2017 – Indonesia, fresh from beating Saudi Arabia in the curtain-raising match the previous day, played a tough match against Kazakhstan to go down in hard-fought five-set thriller 25-23 25-27 21-25 25-21 13-25 at the SMM 19th Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship at the Tri Dhama Petrokimia Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Febriant Tamamilang performed superbly in all skills to score a match-high 23 points. He firstly led the team in spiking with 19 kills from 37 attempts and blocked effectively for 2 kill blocks and 2 ace serves. Rivan Nurmulki contributed 14 points through13 kills. Vitaliy Erdshtein led 19 points for the winning team, all from his devastating attacks. Vitaliy Varivodin had 15 kills from 28 attempts.
