Surabaya, Indonesia, July 25, 2017 – Qatar still keep their hopes of advancing to the quarter-finals of the SMM 19th Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship alive following a straight-set victory over Saudi Arabia on the second day of the biennial top-flight competition at the Tri Dhama Petrokimia Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Qatar, disappointed by the 2-3 loss at the hands of Kazakhstan the previous day, revived their fortunes by pulling off a convincing 25-23 25-21 25-21 victory over Saudi Arabia in a narrowly-contested match.

Bojan Dukic topscored with 13 points for Qatar including 11 kills from 21 attempts, but teammate Llija Ivovic topped the spiking attempts with 12 points. Azouz Asaad Hesham led Saudi Arabia with 14 points.
