The meeting was an important step in developing a complete record to assist all participating teams to obtain correct information from the organisers and help handle all problems the teams are facing. This will help make the preparation task accomplished ahead of the competition. Necessary information on the competition rules and regulations as well as medical issues and the press operations matter will be informed by the Control Committee in order that all participating teams will understand more profoundly. Should teams need assistance and prompt solution of the problems they are facing, the organisers and the Control Committee members will join hands to solve the problem effectively and efficiently.

Head coaches, team managers and team officials from all 14 participating teams attended the meeting. They comprised hosts Philippines, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Australia, Korea, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Thailand, Maldives, Iran and Chinese Taipei.

In the meeting, only an official from Chinese Taipei asked the organisers to provide more varieties of meals to all participating teams, claiming that only 3-4 kinds of meals have been served each day. The General Technical Meeting came to a successful conclusion without any other grave concerns over the staging of the Asian Championship. The top-flight competition will kick off on Wednesday at both halls, Alonte Sports Arena and Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
