Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 22, 2017 – Reigning SEA Games champions and title-hotshots Thailand made it two in a row after sailing past Cambodia in comfortable straight sets 25-13 25-19 25-17 in the 29th South East Asian Games Men’s Volleyball Championship at the MITEC Hall 11 on Tuesday.

Thailand, fresh from brushing off Myanmar in straight sets in their opening match on Monday, overwhelmed the underdogs Cambodia with combination attacks from Kissada Nilsawai and captain Kittikhun Sri-Utthawong and solid blocks from Kissada for the straight-set win.

Kissada Nilsawai became a major force of Thailand as he was the only Thai who scored double digits on the team’s second win with a combined 19 points from 10 attacks, 7 blocks and 2 aces. Kittikun Sri-Utthawong contributed 7 points from his sharp cross-court attacks. Rakhmay Mayled Cambodia with 7 points.

Questing for their SEA Games title four times in succession, Thailand are due to next take on Malaysia on Thursday.
