CHINESE TAIPEI THRASH KAZAKHSTAN IN ONE-SIDED CLASH TO FINISH 5TH PLACE

Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, May 27, 2018 – Formidable Chinese Taipei  mercilessly crushed Kazakhstan in a completely one-sided battle, 25-6, 25-12, 25-8, to grab the fifth place at the 12th Asian Women’s U17 Volleyball Championship at the Nakhon Pathom Municipality Gymnasium on Sunday.

The Chinese Taipei’s performance has met theirs at the previous Asian meet two years ago in Chongqing, China. There, Chinese Taipei brushed off Hong Kong in the 5th-6th place playoff to claim the 5th place.

“It’s a happy ending. We maintained our form to claim the similar 7th place we achieved in the previous edition two years ago. As far as I’m concerned, the semi-final match against Thailand was  one of the great disappointing encounters we had. It was our second time in this championship to experience an unfair threat caused by the referees’ mistaken decision. For Chinese Taipei, all players will go back to their schools after this and prepare for the next championship.
