Despite the win, India’s head coach Ajay Jangra was not satisfied with his team’s form. “Of course it was our first game of the tournament and my players didn’t show their best. I hope that they will play better in the next match,” Ajay Jangra commented after the match.
“We trained only two months before coming here, so my expectation is to finish somewhere with good results and in our best form.We will take this tournament as a warm-up match in our final preparation ahead of the next week’s Asian U17 Championship,” he added.
India will next play Kazakhstan, while Singapore will challenge New Zealand in the Pool A preliminary round on Monday.
