Bangkok, Thailand, June 25, 2018 – Coaches have been invited to apply for two FIVB Coaches Courses in September and October in Bahrain with aims of improving knowledge and competence of coaches and teachers so that they may gain recognition as FIVB coaches in the near future.

Furthermore, the courses will be held to present the most recent trends of the modern game of volleyball, to establish a unified system for training coaches, to enable each NF to develop national courses and an internal method of training and qualifying coaches and teachers and to exchange ideas and experiences among them.

After holding FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 and Level 2 in May 2017, Bahrain has its sights set on more successful courses this year. The two courses, which are due to be held at the Bahrain Volleyball Development Centre, are split into the FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 between September 8 and 12 which focuses on basic volleyball techniques and preparation of a team and the FIVB Coaches Course Level 2 from October 7 to 11 which emphasizes coaching of advanced level teams.

To apply for the courses, interested candidates have to prepare the following documents

  • FIVB application form (Name indicated must match the passport exactly)
  • FIVB Curriculum Vitae form including digital photo
  • A copy of FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 certificate is needed for those who apply for the Coaches Course Level 2
  • Recommendation letter from the candidate’s NF
  • Eligible passport copy
