AVC E-SCORE PROGRAME (AVCESP) CLINIC HELD IN ZHANGJIAGANG

Zhangjiagang, China, July 9, 2018 – An e-score clinic was held here on Monday at Zhangjiagang Sports Center before the official start of the AVC Eastern Zone Women’s Volleyball Championship 2018, which will be held in Zhangjiagang from July 10 to 15.

AVC instructor Mr. Lee Jia Wei from Chinese Taipei explained in details how the e-score system works and how it will help the referees. All the international referees, line judges and scorers who will officiate at the championship attended the clinic.

Different from FIVB’s e-score system, this e-score system is much easier to operate and the output of the scoresheet from the system is totally the same with the manual scoresheet. The newest updated system can even connect to mobile devices like smart cellphones and tablets, which can help referees officiate the matches.

The e-score system will be used and tested during all matches in this event as a supplementary scoring device, and the traditional manual scoresheet will, however, be the official result of the championship, as informed by Dr. Eom Han Joo, Chairman of AVC Sports Events Council and Technical Delegate of the Championship.
