AVC GIVE BVA A THUMBS-UP FOR DEVOTEDLY HOSTING ASIAN MEN’S U20 CHAMPIONSHIP

Manama, Bahrain, July 21, 2018 – AVC President Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser presented AVC plaque to Sheik Ali Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, president of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, as a souvenir to thank Bahrain and its people for their hard working in hosting the 19th Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship from July 21 to 28, 2018.

The ceremony took place on Friday at the media centre room inside the Isa Sport City Hall. The AVC President appreciated the BVA’s determination and dedication in making the eight-day championship a memorable success. A record 23 teams are participating in the Manama meet and the organisers provided excellent hospitality to all participating teams. Furthermore, Bahrain are also well-prepared for hosting such a big tournament in two competition venues. To handle such a daunting task is a big challenge. However, the BVA have already proved they are a can-do volleyball body which can make successes out of whatever they intend to do and they always did it with good care.

In return, Sheik Ali Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa also presented a souvenir to the AVC President. AVC Secretary-General Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, himself the Control Committee Chairman of the Asian Men’s U20 Championship in Manama, was also in attendance in the ceremony.
