CHINESE TAIPEI TO PLAY IN 5TH-6TH PLAYOFF CLASH AFTER 3-0 DEMOLITION OF KAZAKHSTAN
Manama, Bahrain, July 27, 2018 – Chinese Taipei produced a straight-set victory (25-19, 25-18, 25-21) over Kazakhstan at the 19th Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship at Isa Sport City Hall on Friday.
Chinese Taipei opened up aggressively in the first set playing an impenetrable defense with solid blocks led by Chang Yu-Sheng to take the first set 25-19.
Holding 0-1 disadvantage, Kazakhstan fought hard in the second set with an aim of bringing good things back on track. But Chinese Taipei’s determination and consistent play bore fruits well as they dominated the remaining two sets 25- 18, 25-21 for an eventual 3-0 victory.
“Our Next opponents will be either Iraq or Australia. Both are very strong. We will try to do our best”, Chinese Taipei head coach Yeh Chung-Kuei commented.
