HOJIN RIFLES 14 POINTS AS KOREA ROUT CHINA IN STRAIGHT SETS

Tabriz, Iran, July 1, 2018 – Shin Hojin took center stage as Korea earned a pulsating straight-set  25-21, 25-15, 25-17 victory over China in the 12th Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship at Poursharifi Gymnasium on Sunday.

Hojin’s class and power shone through once again as he contributed 14 points. China certainly played their part in a match of high quality but the Koreans performed better.

In all three sets, Korea played with cohesion and quality to turn match around in their favour.

Korea and China will rest on Monday and will resume their matches in classification playoffs the following day.

“We were stronger on our receptions than China. Before entering this tournament, we played so many matches at school level with professional teams. We also hold a friendly match with Iran in Korea,” Korea head coach Kang Sooyoung commented after the match.
