Teams toiled for each point, keeping a close contest. The Vietnam club firmed up their lead to 21-18 with a backline winner from T.T.T. Thuy. CMFC committed attack errors, which helped carve a 25-22 win for VTV Binh Dien Long An in the second set.
By the third set, CMFC played much more aggressively, enabling Tzu-Ya Chen on attack. They kept within close distance, composing their plays patiently, but later, their opponents reverted to a strong presence at the net. The Vietnam club played with much resolve, racing to 25-16 to complete the third set.
