Thuy showed variety in attack, combining powerful strikes with off-speed hits. Dan Thi Kim Thanh sustained service for five more points, as Lanka Lions could not seem to find the right tempo on court. Thuy remained the primary scorers for the Vietnamese side. Lanka Lions suffered from their errors in serve and attack, while their opponents only grew stronger and more confident to seize the second set at 25-10.

By the third set, Duong Thi Hen became involved in more plays from the left flank, with quick tap-ins that earned points for the Vietnamese club. With the exception of good swings from Thilini Perera, Lanka Lions struggled to sustain good energy and cohesive play. VTV, on the other hand, showed their advantage in every skill, to take 25-11 in the third set.
