AVC LEVEL 1 COACHING COURSE BEING HELD IN LEBANON
Ghazir, Lebanon, August 30, 2018 – The AVC Level 1 Coaching Course, being held by the Lebanese Volleyball Federation under the supervision of AVC, was opened on Wednesday morning, with LVF President Mr Michel Abi Ramia presiding.
A total of 48 candidates participated in the course from August 29 to September 2, 2018 at the Ghazir Stadium, with international instructor Mr Shihab Aldin Al-Riyami from the Sultanate of Oman conducting the course theoretically and practically.
Also in attendance in the Wednesday’s opening ceremony were LVF Secretary-General Mr. Walid Kassouf, federation board members and the organizing committee.
In his opening speech, the LVF President Mr Abi Ramia expressed his sincere thanks to AVC for their kind support, hoping that the collaboration between the LVF and the Asia’s volleyball-governing body will continue.
He also greeted Mr. Al-Riyami and was upbeat that all the participants will bring all necessary information they obtain from the course to build a better volleyball future for Lebanon.
Mr. Al-Riyami thanked the LVF and wished all participants a significant success during their course study. The Lebanese national U18 team, in their preparation for upcoming Arab and Asian Championships, will also be participating in the practical session of this course.
Mr. Al-Riyami is due to meet the national team officials to advise on how the current youth development strategy can be improved.
