Ghazir, Lebanon, September 7, 2018 – The AVC Level 1 Coaches Course, which was held by the Lebanese Volleyball Federation in conjunction with the AVC, came to a fruitful conclusion at the Ghazir Stadium on September 2.

After four days of lecture theories and practice, all 48 participants had been tested on the knowledge and necessary information they have gained from the course and only seven failed in the test.

LVF President Mr. Michel Abi Ramia presided over the presentation of the achievement certificates and the closing ceremony on September 2, with Secretary-General Mr. Walid Kassouf and Course Director Mr. Emile Jabbour in attendance as guests of honour.

International Course Instructor Mr Shihab Aldin Al-Riyami from the Sultanate of Oman conducted the course theoretically and practically from August 29, while the Lebanese national team players had also participated in all the trainings of this course and had shown great skills open for future improvement.

The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem followed by speeches from the LVF President, the course instructor, and the course director.

The president extended his sincere thanks to Mr. Al-Riyami and urged all newly-qualified coaches to use their new skills on development of new volleyball talent in Lebanon. In his turn, Mr. Al-Riyami expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the LVF’s kind supports, stating that the federation and the organizing committee did a wonderful job in helping him guide this course to a significant success.

This was followed by the exchange of gifts between Mr. Shihab Aldin Al-Riyami and the federation organizing committee members and participants. After that, the certificates were distributed to all participants where 41 out of the 48 had succeeded, with Mr. Hani Hlayhel ranked first in the course.
