GTM WARM UP ATMOSPHERE FOR 6TH AVC CUP FOR WOMEN


Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, September 15, 2018 – The 6th AVC Cup for Women is just a day away and General Technical Meeting was held at Sima Thani Hotel on Saturday to ensure all is set for the top-tier competition between September 16 and 23.

At the beginning of the meeting, jointly chaired by General Dr Marut Limcharoen, President of Nakhon Ratchasima Sports Association, and Control Committee Chairman Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, himself the AVC Secretary-General, all coaches and team officials from 10 participating teams heard the welcome address by Dr Marut.

Technical Delegate Mr Yehmek Syrlybayev informed all teams necessary matters including eligibility of players and officials (team composition, identity cards on Jury table, choice of color for match uniforms.

Referee Delegate Mr Songsak Chareonpong reported on the Rules of the Games to be applied, discipline on the court and match protocal, while Medical Delegate Dr Rueangsak Siriphol talked about the medical matters including anti-doping control and court medical assistance.

Press Delegate Mr Preechachan Wiriyanupappong informed all the team head coaches about the press interview at the mixed zone and asked them to catch updates of the competition on AVC Website and all AVC Social Media platforms including AVC Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

After the meeting, the welcome dinner was held at the Sima Thani Ballroom B. Nakhon Ratchasima Governor Mr Wichien Chantaranothai welcomed all participating teams. The local organisers presented souvenirs to each participating team, with Thailand Volleyball Association President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang meeting representatives from each team for plaque giveaway.
