To be pitted against one another in the next year’s Asian Senior Volleyball Championships,  all participating teams will not only chase the ultimate glory of the Asian title, but also fight for eight slots on offer in each gender for the Continental Qualification for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Only the eventual winners from each men’s and women’s event of the Continental Qualifications will make the cut for the Tokyo Games between July 25 and August 9, 2020.

According to the 2019 AVC Calendar, the Asian Continental Qualification for 2020 Olympic Games (Women) is due to be held either between October 22 and 27, 2019 or in January 2020, while the Asian Continental Qualification for 2020 Olympic Games (Men) is scheduled for either from October 29 to November 3, 2019 or in January 2020. However, host countries for both Continental Qualifications have yet been announced.

To confirm their participation, affiliated National Federations must send their official entries to AVC and the organisers not later than January 15, 2019.
