Sentul-Bogor, Indonesia, November 14, 2018 – The FIVB Coaches Course Level 1, jointly organised by the National Volleyball Federation of Indonesia and the FIVB Development Centre Indonesia between November 7 and 11, came to a successful conclusion close on Sunday.

Course Instructor Mr Jaksuwan Tocharoen, himself Secretary of the AVC Sports Events Council and Secretary-General of the Thailand Volleyball Association, conducted the five-day course at the Development Centre Indonesia in Bogor with the aims of providing an outlook on the results from effective and structured training and thus allowing coaches to develop their skills and increase their coaching abilities through structured training programs aside from raising their awareness in order to develop their theoretical and practical application of volleyball techniques.

A total of 26 candidates from Hong Kong China, Macau, India and hosts Indonesia including three females joined the course, which was opened on November 7 by Mr Heyzer Harsono, Director of the Development Center Indonesia.

Mr Harsono said in his speech during the opening ceremony that the course would help create a good learning about the coaching course.

“Applications for the course was in great demand. Actually, there were too many applications and therefore, the selection was made based on their primary provincial evaluation, participation in the seminars and workshops and their knowledge of English and communicative abilities.”

Mr Jaksuwan was greatly impressed by the Development Centre staff’s excellent organisation of the event. He also advised the Development Centre to promote their activities in the Southeast Asia region to develop interest and participation in the programme.
