Bangkok, Thailand, December 2, 2018 – The Level-I AVC International Coaches Course at the FIVB Development Centre Thailand came to a successful close on Sunday, with TVA President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang and AVC Secretary-General Mr Shanrit Wongprasert jointly presiding over the certificate presentation and closing ceremony.

The course, which started on November 26, was conducted by Course Instructor Mr Jaksuwan Tocharoen, himself FIVB Sports Events Council Member and AVC Sports Events Council Secretary, who led all 14 candidates from Thailand made up of eight male and six females.

After an intense week of practical and theoretical activities that featured assistance from Mr Kittipong Pornchartyingcheep, former ace spiker of Thailand men’s national volleyball team and former head coach of defunct Bangkok Glass VC, all the candidates passed the course to earn their Level-I AVC International Coaches Course Certificate.

The course, a special development project of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, was held with aims of giving all course attendants an opportunity to learn and obtain valuable experience aside from sharing their creative ideas with the others.

In his speech during the closing ceremony, Mr Somporn expressed his delight with the course attendants’ determination to sharpen their skills and learn new techniques with the two course instructors.

“The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways. That’s why it’s essential to determine your values toward what you have obtained from this course. Never stop learning new things and share them with others. I wish you all a great success in your life career,” Somporn said.

Also in attendance as guest of honour during the certificate presentation on Sunday was Dr Veeradej Chua-nam, Sport Programe Secretary, the Office of the Basic Education Commission.
