Chinese Volleyball Association recently announced a new training list for the Chinese men’s and women’s volleyball teams. A total of 12 players and coaches from Zhejiang were selected. In terms of players, Zhejiang Sports Lottery men’s volleyball team contributed 6 players, and Zhejiang Jiashan Xitang Ancient Town women’s volleyball team had 2 players.
Judging from the list, Zhejiang Sports Lottery men’s volleyball players Zhang Jingyin, Li Yongzhen, Zhang Guanhua, Yang Yiming, Chen Leiyang, Wang Bin, as well as head coach Shen Andong, team doctor Zheng Yunhai, and fitness coach Dai Siwen were selected as the current Chinese men’s volleyball training team. In fact, Wu Sheng, the head coach of the Chinese men’s volleyball team, was also sent by Zhejiang.
“The main purpose of this training camp is to prepare for the tournaments and inspect the young players, and the time will last for three months.” Wu Sheng said that this year, in addition to the Volleyball Nations League, Asian Games, and Asian Championship, there will also be the Paris Olympic Qualifying Tournament. More challenges and difficulties are expected. The Chinese men’s volleyball team not only need to strengthen basic skills training and further polish skills and tactics, but also to improve the players’ competition level and experience by participating in more high-level competitions, so as to achieve new breakthroughs.
Shen Andong is honored and excited to join the national team as an assistant coach this time. “On the one hand, it is the national team’s affirmation of the Zhejiang Sports Lottery men’s volleyball team’s achievements in the past year, and on the other hand, it is also a spur to the players.” Shen Andong said, “I hope everyone can play better in the national team and win glory for the country. “
The Chinese men’s volleyball training camp will start on February 2 at the Zhangzhou Sports Training Base in Fujian. However, some players in the roster will not report due to foreign league matches or physical reasons, including Zhejiang Sports Lottery Men’s player Zhang Jingyin. Zhang Jingyin, who had a recurring injury in the league before, has recently recovered. He will go to Poland to participate in the Polish Men’s Volleyball League with Gdansk Club. He hopes to change himself and grow through this experience abroad.
Meanwhile, the women’s volleyball team in Xitang Ancient Town, Jiashan, Zhejiang has not achieved satisfactory results in recent years due to the replacement of seniors and new players, but several young players with potential have also emerged.
This time Zeng Jieya and Chen Xiyue were selected into the Chinese women’s volleyball training list, but they did not participate in the training for some reasons. Wang Hebing, head coach of the Zhejiang women’s volleyball team, said that they were selected for the national team list, which proved their potential and also showed the importance of the national team. It is reported that the women’s volleyball team will report to Ningbo Beilun Sports Training Base on February 1.
