Bangkok, Thailand, June 25, 2025 – The 2nd Asian Women’s U16 Volleyball Championship, originally scheduled for July 20–27, 2025, in Amman, Jordan, has been officially postponed to November 1–8, 2025, due to the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

The Jordan Volleyball Federation (JVF), under the leadership of HRH Princess Ayah Bint Faisal, formally notified the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) on June 23. In its correspondence, the JVF expressed sincere gratitude to the AVC for its continued trust, collaboration, and support in the organization of this prestigious event. The Federation affirmed its agreement with the proposed new dates, emphasizing that the revised schedule fits well within the regional calendar and will facilitate smoother participation and travel arrangements for all teams, especially following the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, set for October 19–29, 2025.

The JVF reiterated its commitment to working closely with the AVC to ensure the successful delivery of the championship. It pledged to undertake all necessary preparations to warmly welcome participating delegations and uphold the high standards expected at a continental-level tournament.

Meanwhile, the AVC confirmed that it remains fully dedicated to ensuring the safety and success of all its competitions. After careful discussions with the host federation and in consideration of regional developments, the AVC has officially approved the rescheduling of the championship to November 1–8. The decision reflects a shared hope that the regional situation will stabilize in time to allow for a safe and successful tournament for all involved.

The 2nd Asian Women’s U16 Volleyball Championship will serve as the official qualification tournament for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s U17 World Championship 2026.
